About Us
Helping Our Guys & Girls Succeed, Inc. (H.O.G.G.S) was founded in 2006 as a 501c3 Non-profit Youth Development organization. Historically the communities of East Elmhurst, Corona, and Jackson Heights, located in Queens New York have relatively high rates, above 50%, of high school graduates. However, less than 30% of these graduates go on to complete schools of higher education. These areas have not been targeted for outreach efforts because they do not fall on either end of the poverty or educational deficiency spectrum.
H.O.G.G.S programs and services will address this lack of support and provide positive opportunities outside of the ordinary school setting. We hope to increase the amount of local youth that enroll in as well as graduate from schools of higher education.
